Capt. Ben Campion

Captain Ben here and ready to take you and your crew on the trip of a lifetime! After years cruising the Caribbean, I take pride in sharing with guests all the treasured spots I have discovered.

Once, a mermaid asked if I would join them, but I said, "Nay, one of your kind I am already." I love to be under the surface even more than I like sailing on it. An avid free diver and certified Dive Master, rest assured your guided tours of the underwater reef gardens will be safe, fun and educational.

Sharing the beauty of the Caribbean and the lifestyle of a live aboard sailing crew is my passion and why I started chartering boats in the first place. During your trip, I will be capturing the best moments and memories with my camera or drone.

Whether you want an active charter exploring the land and sea or to just kick back and relax, it is up to you. It is your charter and my goal is to give you the vacation experience you crave.

Chef Jody Oles

Jody is a native Californian, but has been living in the islands for the last 16 years. She holds a US Coast Guard Masters License, and is a PADI Scuba Instructor, as well as an accomplished charter chef. Her passion is delectable and beautiful food, served in a warm and welcoming setting. From fresh breads and pastries to decadent desserts, she will present you with an array of goodies to tempt your taste buds. Her culinary style incorporates fresh local ingredients with culinary favorites for amazing meals that guests love. Her greatest pleasure is your satisfaction!



Breakfast is served with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, coffee or tea, and juice of your choice. For the adventurous, Mimosas and Jody's Famous Bloody Marys are available.

"I wanted to write a follow up note to thank you for an incredible vacation adventure around St. John’s and St. Thomas, aboard your fantastic vessel “Touch The Sky”!

First, the crew!  As the Captain, you did an amazing job planning our days out with incredible activities and excursions.  We loved your charm, quick wit, and relaxing style throughout the week, and appreciate the effort you put in to make us relax and enjoy our vacation.  Our premiere Chef Jody was wonderful.  How often do you create food, and presentation, that warrants photographs at ever meal.  We are country folk, but I think we did everything but lick the plate clean each time we sat down.  There will be a single, 25 photo post, of each glorious dish.  Jody was a perfect fit to the vacation with her laughter, smiles, and sweet sarcasm.  Last but not least, our Mixologist and Crew Hand Extraordinaire Holle!  Her soft heart, great smile, quiet confidence, and fierce sailing abilities, balanced out the staff.  It didn’t hurt that she could brew the greatest concoctions I’ve ever tasted.

We hiked, water skied, boarded, kayaked, snorkeled, dove, floated, and tubed in some of the most beautiful, majestic, and gorgeous bays in the US Virgin Islands.  In many cases, you took us to some of the most secluded areas of the island, where we enjoyed music and socialization all to ourselves, and balanced it with some days of fun intermingling with other catamarans!  The Taco Bar was one of my favorite little stops.

I could go on, but please let your staff and management know that this was truly the best vacation we have ever had, and though the boat was incredible, the Island beautiful, the staff MAKES the adventure amazing.

Have an amazing 2021, and I hope I get to see you all sooner than I expect!

"If I could summarize this trip in one word, it would be: ‘SGOOD. My family and I spent two weeks sailing with Captain Ben and Chef Holle on Touch the Sky through the USVI. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience, so prepare yourself for a long-winded review. The boat itself was comfortable, spacious, and accommodating. The islands of course were spectacular and beautiful. The marine life makes one feel as though they are living an oceanic documentary with David Attenborough himself, and ever since I have been going through ocean withdrawals. The additional charm of the trip however was the crew, both Ben and Holle worked tirelessly to anticipate our needs and ensure we had an amazing experience. And boy did we!

Ben was engaging, knowledgeable, and easy going; always willing to cater to our requests but also knew all of the neat spots to explore. He was well versed in ocean critter facts, we had a lot of fun discussing the sightings of the day. Being a divemaster, he was able to take those of us who were certified on many dives throughout the trip, which made this fish very very happy!

Holle was very kind, genuine, hardworking, and attentive, not to mention dedicated to the art of hosting. If I could give Holle a Michelin Star, I would. Needless to say, my expectations in regards to food were “blown out of the water.” Each dining experience was unique and delicious, made with fresh and local ingredients. Holle did an excellent job adjusting to the dietary restrictions of some individuals in our group, somehow making gluten free dishes just as mouthwatering. She is a master of the arts and even whipped out the ole’ guitar a few times and I had the privilege of hearing her play and sing, which was a real treat.

These two went out of their way to make this trip really special. Whether it was jam sessions in the galley or joining in on the constant family jesting, it was a blast. I get to walk away with sweet new memories and sweet new friendships.

10/10, would highly recommend. If you are looking for an adventure in catamaran chartering, go with Ben and Holle on Touch the Sky. Thank you both again for such a wonderful experience."

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
This is the second time we have sailed with Ben & Holle! We liked them so much the first time we just had to go back! They are a terrific team.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
The MCA is a great boat and always clean.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes it was. We tried to use the A/C as little as possible because we had nice winds the whole time.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
Holle is an artist in the kitchen. Each meal was expertly prepare and presented. She & Ben go the extra mile to ensure high quality meals are served.
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes. This is the fourth time I have been in the BVI and we are still finding new coves to explore.

Additional comments on your charter?
Ben & Holle also had a great assortment of games on board. Ben is also so fun to snorkel with because he sees animals and fish that the rest of us can't see.

It’s a challenge to find the words to describe this week. Our group of 6 was a combo of new and old friends. We’ll be leaving as established friends for life. Ben and Holle are nothing short of amazing. They have a rapport between that is loving, trusting, but most of all feels like effortless fun! Holle is a kind, soft spoken old soul who can throw down in the kitchen. It felt like Master chef all day, every day. I’m going to try to replicate her recipes… Ben is funny, witty and so knowledgeable about all things ocean. Ben had suggestions at every snorkeling stop with route and tips to see the most ocean creatures. We were extra spoiled with a spontaneous Lionfish lesson and snack. A million thank-yous from our CO & AZ crew! Ben and Holle, this trip wouldn’t have been the same on any other boat. You are meticulous in your seemingly effortless ability to host. We loved being spoiled and pampered during our magical escape from reality.

When the idea of this trip first popped into my life, I was at a crossroads. Not sure of much else but that a couple of years later I would make the trip that my friends were describing over a couple of drinks on a cold November night in New England. Thank you both so much for making this trip amazing. I didn’t know what to expect, but I can say I am thoroughly amazed at the experience you have given us. Thank you for making us feel welcome in your home, for sharing your love and knowledge of the Caribbean, the incredible meals, and the comradery. Christmas 2019
“Although we had been looking forward to our Caribbean Christmas vacation for many months, none of us truly knew what we were venturing into. And though the expectations may have been set high and we were all filled with excitement and anticipation of what was to come, our week with Ben, Holle, and My Cherie Amour far surpassed our wildest imaginations!

We swam, snorkeled with sea turtles, jumped off the boat, the Willy T, and what seemed to be a 50’ high rock stemming out of the ocean floor. We sailed smooth water, rough water, dinghied to dinner, ate tacos on a floating barge, lounged on beaches, played many a card game of Dutch Blitz. I can make the list longer but I have only so much ink in this pen.

Ben is a very fine captain and his jovial personality makes him a joy to be around. His jokes created laughter, his plethora of noises made us chuckle, and his one-off comments made many an eye roll and often times would make a teenage daughter question whether she should laugh or not.

Holle is amazing in her own right. She can make dishes out of that little galley that rival some of the best restaurants I’ve been to. She is sincere and kind, all three of our daughters were drawn to her. The impromptu concert was fantastic; we all sat mesmerized.

This past week will be set in our memories forever. It will also be hard to replicate. It is our hope that we come back someday and give it a try. We hope to cross paths with Ben and Holle again, and this comes from a place of much sincerity. Thank you and God Bless!”

My husband & I, along with 4 friends just returned .....WOW, we had a wonderful experience! Captain Ben & Holle were amazing hosts. Ben took us to a number of almost deserted
top-notch snorkeling locations as well as some of the usual spots most folks visit. Holle is a first-class
chef that produce amazing meals for the group and entertained us with her beautiful voice and guitar.Our group choose half provision which let us eat some meals on shore & when we did eat off the boat, Ben acted as our concierge and set up some nice dinners & lunches at local restaurants.
The boat was well provisioned, comfortable and outfitted with plenty of water toys. (Having done this trip before and crewed the boat ourselves, we have something to compare this trip against.)
Hiring the My Cherie Amour and crew is definitely the way to go. We can’t say enough good things
about the ship and crew. This is a “must do again” trip.

Wonderful trip, visited all my old haunts from 20 years ago. Sad to see all the damage , but rebuilding is progressing

Ben and Holle could not have been better, both young enough to be my grand children, but they related extremely well to us old folks. Ben is an excellent captain and Holle , as you said does it all, sailing ,cooking , entertaining, ect.

3) Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
Food and drinks were perfect

4) How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade?
Yacht was excellent cabins cockpit, everything.

Our sailing vacation was wonderful from start to finish.

2) How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
Captain Ben and Mate Holle were very enjoyable. Ben shared his sardonic wit freely and Holle was a gentle soul. They cared for our needs and were very attentive, They made it clear that we need only ask for snacks or beverages and prepared snack trays that were healthful and tasty.

Captain Ben was a very proficient skipper and Mate Holle was his able assistant. At no time did either of them seem out of their depth in running or managing the boat safely.

3) Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
Meals were expertly prepared. We marveled that no meal was repeated on our 7-day sail. Also of note was the fact that all the meals were of a healthy nature including vegan and meat dishes always in keeping with our various “preference sheets”.

4) How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade?
The boat was clean and apparently well maintained. The weather was suitable for open-hatch sailing. None the less, Captain Ben ran air conditioning for an interval each morning and night to dry and cool the cabin air. It definitely enhanced comfort in the cabins. At the half way point in our sail, Ben and Holle changed our bedding and bath linens, which enhanced our comfort.

5) What did you like most about the yacht? What did you like the least? If you could change anything, what would have made you happier?
I liked the 48’ catamaran’s layout and wouldn’t change a thing.

6) How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
We set our own itinerary with Ben’s assistance, so we got just what we wanted. Snorkeling and water activities were high on the list of desired activities. It must be said that Ben is VERY adept at free diving and can provide much assistance and advice in this area.

7) Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain:
We would gladly charter My Cherie Amour again with Ben and Holle as crew.

Top Notch Hospitality
We had the best vacation ever with Captain Ben and Holle! From the moment we stepped onto the boat the hospitality and service was top notch. Holle is an amazing chef and Captain Ben knows all the spots! The hardest decision you will make while on vacation with Ben and Holle is what to drink!

Outstanding Hosts..
Captain Ben & Chef Holle were outstanding hosts! They made us feel so very welcome the minute we set foot on ‘My Cherie Amour’. These fun, wonderful people were excellent navigators of the sea and the BVI surroundings. We can’t say enough about this experience and recommend it to anyone looking for fun and adventure on the open water. Until next time...


Unforgettable Experience
We sailed 7 days on the My Cherie Amour and had an unforgettable experience. The boat is very accommodating. Amenities fit our lifestyle very well. The double hull Cat makes for a very smooth ride. We had two people prone to seasickness and neither one got sick. The Captain and staff enjoyed setting up land trips, swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding for us. One memorable take away was docking in the evening, sitting at the aft deck table and eating fresh Calamari.
